Savvy undertook a unique project to create a new kitchen and dining facility at Trinity College in Oxford. This complex project required the demolition of the existing kitchen building, the excavation of the sandy ground to a depth of eight meters and the propping and retention of 18 ft original historic walls. Once the way was prepared, the team constructed a modern two-storey kitchen complex fit for the 21st Century to seamlessly join the existing listed building. All without cranes, with restricted access on four sides and within a live environment. The project also encompassed the refurbishment of the dining hall and the Senior Common Room.
